Invisalign is a clear aligner system used to address mild to moderate dental alignment cases. Custom-made, transparent aligners are worn over the teeth and progressively replaced over the course of treatment.
At Dr Pierre Dentistry, every Invisalign treatment begins with a clinical consultation where suitability is assessed. Not all cases are appropriate for clear aligner treatment — more complex orthodontic cases may be referred to a registered specialist orthodontist.

Aligners are removed for eating, drinking (other than water), brushing and flossing. They are designed to be worn 20–22 hours per day.
Treatment is planned individually based on clinical assessment, digital scans, and your specific alignment requirements.
Typically 6 to 18 months depending on complexity of the case. Some cases may take longer or shorter — assessed individually.
Retainers must be worn after treatment to maintain the result. Without retention, teeth can shift back toward their original position.
Not all patients are suitable for clear aligners. More complex cases may be referred to a registered specialist orthodontist.
Outcomes vary between patients and depend on clinical circumstances, compliance with wearing schedule, and individual response to treatment.

Digital scans and records are taken. A treatment plan is prepared showing the proposed tooth movements and timeline.
Aligners are worn 20–22 hours daily. Progress is reviewed periodically with check-ups every 6–8 weeks.
After active treatment, retainers are required to maintain the result. Long-term retention is necessary.
Possible side effects include temporary discomfort, speech changes, gum or cheek irritation, and tooth sensitivity. Some cases may require attachments or refinement aligners.
Results depend on wearing aligners 20–22 hours per day as instructed. Inadequate wear may extend treatment time or compromise the result.
Alternatives include traditional fixed braces, lingual braces, or no treatment. Suitability of alternatives is assessed at consultation. Specialist orthodontic referral may be recommended.
Outcomes cannot be predicted with certainty and vary between patients. Some cases may require fixed appliances in addition to aligners. Retention is required long-term.
